A/C Resistors

Fan speed resistors control the voltage output to your blower fan, reducing or increasing the speed of your fan. By doing this, they generate a large volume of heat but are fitted near the fan for cooling. Always check the airflow from your fan to ensure this isn't the cause of your resistor failure. Blocked pollen filters can often be the cause. Also, ensure your blower fan isn't drawing excessive current, as this will also burn out the resistor.
